Mientras terminaba de sacar las últimas cosas del piso que me ha acompañado estos dos maravillosos años en Barcelona, recibo una llamada que me dejó llena de ilusión: "Victoria Zamora? Eres la ganadora de la beca Carnet Jove: Connecta't al Disseny 2013!"
Con mucha alegría, colaboraré con el estudio de diseño Muto para elaborar el diseño y las ilustraciones de los afiches de las becas para el próximo año.  Aprovecho de agradecer a la Agència Catalana de la Joventut por confiar en mi propuesta y darme esta gran oportunidad!

As i finished to take the last things out of the flat that has been with me these two wonderful years in Barcelona, I received a phone call that left me full of hope: "Victoria Zamora? You are winner of the Carnet Jove scholarship: Connecta't al Disseny 2013! "
With great joy, I will work with Muto studio to develop the design and artwork of the posters of the scholarships for next year. Thanks to the Agència Catalana de la Joventut for trusting in my proposal and giving me this great opportunity!

TUSPISTAS: The new sports social network

El año pasado unos chicos emprendedores de Granada me contactaron para ayudarlos en un proyecto que se ha convertido en la pasión de este grupo de amigos. Tenían el sueño de crear una red en la cual, a través del deporte, pudieses conocer gente y hacer amigos.  Hoy la web ya está en marcha en España y estoy muy orgullosa de ser parte de este lindo proyecto!  Larga vida a TUSPISTAS!
Last year some entrepreneurs from Granada contacted me to help them on a project that has become the passion of this group of friends. They had a dream to create a network in wich, through sports, you could meet people and make friends. Today the web is already underway in Spain and I am very proud to be part of this amazing project! Long live TUSPISTAS!

Yorokobu & Volkswagen Illustration Contest

Este año volví a presentar una propuesta para el entretenido concurso de la revista Yorokobu y Volkswagen. Para esta edición el requisito era que la portada y la contraportada estuviesen relacionadas por una historia. Aunque no quedé seleccionada como el año pasado me lo pasé increíble dibujando al ritmo de The Knife, además de que por fin me atreví con la perspectiva!
This year I submitted a proposal to the amazing Yorokobu Magazine and Volkswagen Illustration Contest. For this edition, the requirement was that the front and back cover were related to a story. Although I was not selected as last year I had so much fun drawing at the beat of The Knife and I finally dared to draw in perspective!

Teatro de Sombras / Shadow Theater

Hace mucho tiempo tenía ganas de hacer un teatro de sombras y por fin lo pude hacer posible gracias a mis amigas del estudio Pajarito de Mimbre. Para esta primera vez decidimos hacer el cuento de la famosa Caperucita Roja y ya se vendrán más!

Cada set incluye 7 personas en madera + 1 telón de 60 x 60 cm con ojetillos para colgar.

I've always wanted to make a shadow theater and i could finally make it possible thanks to my friends of Pajarito de Mimbre Studio. As this is the first time we decided to do the famous tale of Little Red Riding Hood but there will be more to come!

Horóscopo Madres / Mother's Day Horoscope

En mayo me contactaron de Revista Mujer para hacer las ilustraciones del horóscopo del día de la Madre. Por tiempo no había podido subirlas! La idea era que las letras de cada signo aparecieran en la ilustración por lo que las utilicé para retratar diferentes actividades. Gracias a mi querida Romina Sandrock por las fotos!

Mujer Magazine contact me last may to do the illustrations of the Mother's Day Horoscope. I have not had time to upload them! The idea was to use the first letter of each sign in the illustrations, so i used them to depict different activities. Thanks to my dear Romina Sandrock for the pictures!

Calendario 2013 / 2013 Calendar

Nuevamente el estudio de mis queridas Pajarito de Mimbre me ha invitado a participar en su Calendario 2013 con el mes de septiembre. Al igual que el año pasado, incluye los 12 meses en tela + 2 mts de cuerda y 12 pinzas de ropa. También han hecho algunos cuadros con mis pajaritos! Los interesados pueden entrar aqui para comprar y ver todos los otros maravillosos productos que este estudio tiene preparado para esta Navidad!
My dear friends from Pajarito de Mimbre Studio invited me again to participate in their 2013 Calendar. Like last year includes 12 month in fabric + 2 mts of rope + 12 clothespin. Also they made some nice wall prints with some of my birds!

Font Vella "Sed de Vivir" / Font Vella "Thirst for Life"

Hace un tiempo la marca de agua Font Vella lanzó a concurso el diseño de sus nuevas botellas. Las propuestas tenian que retratar la "Sed de vivir", el nuevo slogan de la marca. Después de unos meses de haber participado me contactaron para contarme que mi ilustración había sido finalista del concurso y que iban a montar una exposición a tamaño gigante de mi diseño y de los otros 8 finalistas por toda Barcelona. Para que decirles que no doy más de la felicidad y sobre todo por tener la posibilidad de poder mostrar mi trabajo estando tan lejos de casa! Acá les dejo el video de la promoción del concurso, en el cual participamos con mis talentosos compañeros Helena Melo, Carles Gómez y Kamila Barbosa; éstos dos últimos ganadores del concurso. Para los que pasen por Barcelona, recuerden que hay un concurso de Instagram en el cual la foto de las botellas más votada se ganará un súper Ipad. A short time ago Font Vella launched a competition calling for designs to feature on their new range of bottles. Designs were called to reflect their new slogan, "Thirst for Life". A few months after submitting my illustrations, I was notified that my work was among the 8 finalists that would be displayed in an exhibition all over Barcelona. I can't express how much this means to me, to have my work displayed for all to see in such an amazing city and so far away from home!

Concurso Natura Selection / Natura Contest

Hace un tiempo participé en el concurso de las tiendas Natura Selection España que consistía en diseñar la bolsa para la nueva temporada de otoño. Natura es una tienda que apuesta por la vida y que hace campañas que apoyan el cuidado de la naturaleza, la fusión de culturas y la alegría de vivir. Para la ilustración quería hacer algo entretenido por lo que pensé en el slogan Be Wild!, el sacar el animal que tenemos dentro y con esto representar a gente sobre los autos, a lo King Kong sobre los edificios, con gritos y máscaras a lo bestia.  No gané pero quedé dentro de los 5 finalistas y muy contenta con mi ilustración. Acá pueden ver las bolsas ganadoras!
Some time ago i participated in the Natura Selection Stores contest to design the new bag for the fall season. Natura is a store that suport the environment, the merger of cultures and the love of life. For the illustration i wanted to do something fun so i thought of the slogan Be Wild!, taking out the animal in us and with this represent people on the cars, being wild, King Kong style on the buildings screaming with animal masks. I did not win but i was within the 5 finalist and very happy witn my work. Here you can see the winning bags!

FYIstyle

Mi talentosa amiga Trinidad Id, productora de moda y directora de FYIstyle.net, me pidió que le ayudara a crear la nueva imagen para su visitado blog de moda y tendencias que cumple 3 años de vida. En mi afán por hacer collages le presenté esta propuesta que le encantó.Gracias Trini por hacerme parte de éste, tu lindo y más querido proyecto.Larga vida a FYI!

London Sketches

Hace poco encontré mis croquis de Londres así que ahora comenzaré a subir un poco de lo que fue vivir en esa inspiradora ciudad. Les dejo a éste alemán que escuché en el Old Queens Head Bar en Islington. Su voz era normal pero cuando cantaba era muy grave.
I recently found my London sketches so i will start uploading them. Here i present to you a german singer that i saw at the Old Queens Head Bar in Islington. His voice was normal but when he sang it was so weird!

Revista Mujer / Mujer Magazine

Me encanta ilustrar para la Revista Mujer ya que siempre me llegan cosas entretenidas. Esta vez se trataba de cinco historias de propuestas de matrimonios originales. Había que elegir dos para ilustrar así que me puse a leer. La primera es la de un piloto que le pide matrimonio a una operadora de tráfico al aterrizar y la segunda una pareja que amaba pescar y que el novio le puso el anillo en la caña. Hace tiempo que no hacía collage así que me entretuve demasiado! Acá el link al reportaje en papel digital. Aprovecho de desearles un lindo 14 de febrero! que estén bien acompañados!

I love to illustrate for Revista Mujer because i always get to work with cool stuff. This time was about 5 stories of original marriage proposals. I had to choose two so i started to read. The first one is about a pilot who asks to marriage to a trafic air assistant when he was asking permission to land and the second one about a couple who loved fishing and the groom put the ring on the rod. Yorokobu Magazine

Yorokobu (estar feliz en Japonés), en una revista española que habla sobre las tendencias y la creatividad y se destaca por sus entretenidas y originales portadas. Para el próximo mes de febrero 2012, Yorokobu hizo un concurso para diseñar la portada y la contra portada de la revista. Recibieron 1.200 propuestas y mis diseños quedaron dentro de los finalistas en las 3 categorías. Estoy muy feliz!!
Ahora sólo falta esperar el voto del público por lo que aquí les dejo el link para que me apoyen!
Se puede votar en todas las categorías ( Portada, Contraportada y Dúo) y por más de un diseño a la vez.

Yorokobu (be happy in Japanese), its a Spanish magazine that talks about trends and creativity and is known for its entertaining and original covers. For February 2012, Yorokobu made a contest for the design of the cover and back cover of the magazine. 1200 proposals where received and my designs are finalists in 3 categories. I am very happy!

Calendario 2012 / 2012 Calendar

Mis talentosas amigas Alejandra Oviedo y Fita Frattini crearon Pajarito de Mimbre, un estudio de diseño que ilustra y escribe libros infantiles. También desarrollan lindos productos como este Calendario 2012 en el cual invitaron a varias ilustradoras chilenas a dibujar un pajarito para cada mes del año. Yo elegí agosto y dibujé una pavita real coquetona.
El calendario incluye los 12 meses en tela + 2 mts de cuerda y 12 perritos de ropa. Es un buen regalo ahora que se acerca la navidad!
Amigas muchas gracias por invitarme a participar! Les deseo mucha suerte en este gran proyecto! Larga vida a Pajarito de Mimbre!

My talented friends Alejandra Oviedo and Fita Frattini created Pajarito de Mimbre, a design studio that writes and illustrates children's books. They also develop products like this beautiful 2012 calendar in wich 12 chilean illustrators where invited to draw a bird for each month of the year. I choose august and drew this coquette peahen.
The calendar includes 2 mt of rope and 12 clothespins.

Parlante DMT / DMT speaker

Cuando estaba en Londres recibí un mail de los chicos de GrupoVibra en el cual me invitaban a ilustrar un nuevo producto que habían desarrollado. Se llama DMT y es un pequeño parlante con forma de diamante que es biodegradable, fácil de transportar y está ilustrado por artistas latinos. Por supuesto dije que sí y estoy muy contenta de ser parte de este gran proyecto que ha sido producto de muchos años de esfuerzo y ganas por potenciar el diseño nacional. Si quieren adquirir un modelo de DMT los encontrarán pronto en las tiendas de diseño más importantes del país.
Ahora los chicos se encuentran exponiendo en Tent London, una de las ferias de diseño más grandes de Europa. Si están por allá pasen a saludarlos al stand N24 de GrupoVibra.Mucha suerte en Europa chicos y a disfrutar Londres!

When i was in London i received an email from the guys at GrupoVibra in which i was invited to illustrate a new product they had developed. It is called DMT and is a small diamond-shaped speaker that is eco-friendly, easy to carry and illustrated by Latino artists. Of course i said yes and i am very happy to be part of this great project that has been the product of many years of effort and desire to enhance the national design.If you want to buy DMT you will find them soon in the most important design shops in Chile.
Now the guys are exhibiting at Tent London, one of the largest design fairs in Europe.If you are around go visit them at the N24 stand.Good luck in Europe guys and enjoy London!

Mugs Té Club

Hice estos tazones para Té Club un tiempo antes de irme a Londres. Fue increíble volver y verlos en los supermercados y almacenes. Son 4 tazones coleccionables y vienen de regalo junto a una caja de Ceylan de 100 bolsitas. Este fue un proyecto muy entretenido y lo pasé muy bien creando los personajes, la mayoría inspirados de mi vida. Papás, hermanas, cuñados, pololo y amigos. Hasta el mapa de mi viaje lo pueden encontrar si miran con atención.

Corran por ellos que se agotan rápido!

I made this mugs for Té Club a while before going to London. It was amazing to come back and see them in the supermarkets. The 4 mugs are collectibles and they come with a box of Ceylan tea. It was a great proyect and i had fun creating the characters, most inspired of my life. My parents, sisters, boyfriend and friends. You can even found the map of my trip if you look carefully.

Revista Mujer / Mujer Magazine

Hace unas semanas hice estas ilustraciones para un reportaje de la Revista Mujer sobre un grupo de especialistas de la belleza. Lo primero que pensé fue hacer un collage con look vintage, algo que hace rato quería hacer después de haber recorrido varios mercados y ferias en Londres. Se puede encontrar de todo en estos lugares, desde fotos antiguas hasta maletas y ropa, por lo que inspirarse resulta inevitable!

A few weeks ago i made this illustrations for Mujer Magazine about a group of beauty specialists. My first thought was making a vintage collage, wich i wanted to do after visiting several markets and fairs in London. You can find anything you want in this places, from old photographs to suitcases and clothe that makes inevitable to get some inspiration!

A Londres! / Off to London!

Por fin llegó el día! Quiero dar las gracias a todos los que me han apoyado en la preparación de este viaje. Las últimas semanas han sido increíbles, llenas de despedidas y mucho cariño. Tengo una gran familia y los mejores amigos.
Seguiré actualizando el blog desde Londres así que estén atentos. Creo que tendré material de sobra para inspirarme!Adiós!

Today is the day!I want to thank everyone who supported me in the preparation of this trip. The last weeks have been amazing. A lot of farewells and much love. I have the best family and the best friends.

Revista Mujer / Mujer Magazine

Hice estas ilustraciones para un especial de cocina de la Revista Mujer. Fue muy entretenido ya que es un tema que me encanta y en el cual trabajé muchos años por lo que me sale más rápido. Fue entretenido mezclar las fotos con las ilustraciones. Creo que el collage digital es algo a lo que le he ido tomando cariño y me encantaría seguir desarrollando.

I made these illustrations for a cooking article of Mujer magazine. I love the subject and i worked it for many years so it was very entertaining and easy to work.It was fun to mix photos with illustrations. I think the digital collage is growing on me and i hope i can keep working on it.

Salvador Allende

La talentosa ilustradora y gran amiga Alejandra Oviedo se ha embarcado en un entretenido proyecto. Junto a su pololo han creado Pinos Azules, una residencial universitaria de primer nivel que cuenta con todas las comodidades y con un toque de diseño que la Lale le ha dado a todas las piezas.

Para la decoración de la sala de estar, les pidieron sus amigos que dibujaran algún personaje de la historia de nuestro país. Así fue como me tocó Salvador.

Les adjunto algunas fotos del lugar y de los otros personajes que ahora decoran esta linda residencial.

The talented illustrator and close friend Alejandra Oviedo has embarked on a fun proyect. Along with her boyfriend created Pinos Azules, a residential university with all the comforts and a design touch.

To decorate the living room, they asked their friends to draw a character in the history of our country. I drew Salvador Allende.

I attached some pictures of the place and the other characters that now decorate this beautiful place.
